Not only do we provide you with a top notch professionally designed website, but by harnessing open source software, we provide you with the ability to edit the information on your webpage easily in plain English…no programming knowledge required! Not only is the software extremely easy to use, but we provide you with a number of training videos you can watch right on your computer that will demonstrate how to edit your site. Being able to edit your website in this way is known as having a “content management system” for your website. What else do I need?

There are three parts to having a webpage on the Internet. Obviously you are familiar with the design of the webpage itself, but there are two other things you need as well: domains (which you are probably familiar with) and web hosting (which you may not know about). In order to continue to provide the low web design prices we offer, our contract requires that all sites we design must be hosted by us. We also offer domain registration as a service to our clients, but you may register your domain elsewhere.

The Domain Name:
Like most computer systems, the Internet is ultimately run by a vast amount of numbers. Surfing the web using these numbers would be almost impossible, and that’s where domains come in. A domain is basically an easy-to-remember address for your website. Instead of browsing to 145.235.335.235 (this number is a sample only), a user can just go to yourbusiness.com. When picking a domain name, remember to keep it as short and easy to remember as possible.

The Web Hosting:
So now you have a spectacular website and the perfect domain name. How do you get it on the Internet? You need web hosting, which is basically a powerful computer that is connected to the Internet via industrial grade high-speed connections, designed to specifically keep your website viewable 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

You may be thinking, “I have a computer that’s connected to the Internet at home, why can’t I use that to put my webpage on the Internet?” That’s a good question!
